Samsung, the Global
No.1 TV brand, partnered with Fotomoto PH – an organization of visionary local
photographers and artists – to bring Fotomoto:
Beneath the Streets to life, an immersive fusion of art and technology at
the Legazpi Underpass which is part of the 10 Days of Art 2025 exhibition in
Makati City. Running from February 13-23, 2025, this exhibition features the
captivating works of hundreds of Filipino photographers who have contributed to
Fotomoto’s showcases over the past five years, now displayed in stunning detail
on Samsung’s gallery-worthy lifestyle TV, The
Frame.
Fotomoto: Beneath the Streets
transforms the bustling underpass between Greenbelt and Ayala Triangle Gardens
into an immersive digital gallery. Samsung's The Frame serves as the perfect
canvas, allowing passersby to experience Philippine photography as if viewing
prints in a high-end gallery.
Designed to deliver an artistic and aesthetic
experience, The Frame offers a suite of features that
redefine the way people enjoy their TVs at home. Its Premium Matte Display with Anti- Reflection technology ensures
every image is seen with incredible detail and reduced glare. With Customizable Orientation, users can
showcase artwork in both vertical and horizontal formats, and can display the
Frame in a wall-mounted or table top format. Subscribers of Samsung’s Art
Store also have access to an extensive collection of works by
Van Gogh, Monet, and more, which with Art
Mode, can seamlessly transform The Frame from a high-performance QLED TV
into an elegant art display when turned off. The Frame is also designed to
effortlessly blend into any space with customizable
frame bezels.
With this technology, The Frame elevates Fotomoto’s exhibit by preserving the authenticity of each photograph and displaying it in lifelike detail. This exhibition underscores Samsung’s commitment to redefining how people experience visual storytelling—whether in public spaces or in the comfort of their own homes.
By transforming a
public space into a curated digital exhibit together with Fotomoto, Samsung
continues to push the boundaries of where and how art can be experienced. This
is the latest in Samsung’s global initiatives to highlight art with its
technology, following their exhibit at Basel, Switzerland, and its
partnerships with renowned institutions such as New York’s The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Museum of Modern Art. Through these
partnerships, Samsung is making world-class art more accessible to audiences
worldwide.
