Shrimp on top of the pasta! Winner! I waited for this one. As shrimp as one of my favorite seafood, I definitely did not miss this one. Perfectly sautéed shrimp!

You may start to fill up with irresistible melted Raclette with your preferred accompaniments including cornichons, cocktail onions, boiled baby potatoes, and rye bread, to truly bring out the phenomenal flavors of this delicious Swiss cheese.

The truth is...I did not start from here, because I can not contain my desire for the jamon and the beef on the other end of the buffet table. But Mr. Ang really started at this station and I think he enjoyed 2 or 3 rounds before he went to the next trays.

I most of the time watch my diet, but tonight, I had to put it aside. I took a little bit of everything on my plate and that's called "happiness". The best three on my plate! The overflowing champagne even made my night.

 

 

And my usual note "There's always room for DESSERT." That goes alone for our young foodie.

Century City Mall Makati formally launched its 2017 Christmas Season by lighting up the Giant Christmas Tree and delighting its loyal patron and customers with a nice and playful thematic decors around the mall last Nov 16.

 

"We decided to make this year's theme extra special. We wanted to transport the children into a fantasy land of what their dreams are really made of", Marco Antonio, COO of Century City Development Corporation said during the toast that highlighted the kids being the reason why this year’s Christmas theme is all about sweet treats. 

Family man James Deakin, host to the Annual Christmas Tree lighting was so natural doing a lot of selfies with kids dressed like candies, gifts and fairies.
 

Children with their Beauty Queen moms Karen Agustin, Mafae Belasco, Marina Benipayo, Sara Jane Paez, Patty Betita, PMAP Fashion Luminaries, Desiree Verdadero, Suyene Chi, Lou Bunyi Pareja and kids at heart Gionna Cabrera and Christi McGarry added glamour to the scene. The Launch of PHILIPS "MOM for Moms" Campaign

Here in the Philippines, the maternal mortality rate, a priority in the Sustainable Growth Development goals of the government , is deemed too high at 162 deaths per 100,000 live births as of 2015.

Although it has been decreasing in recent years, it has not been reduced enough to meet the Millennium Development Goal target of 52 deaths per 100,000.

Maternal deaths remain a major concern and according to the Department of Health,  there are at least three (3) contributing factors to this  – firstly, delays in reaching appropriate centers; secondly delays in health care provision for expectant mothers; and thirdly delays in them seeking medical help. 

As a leading health technology company, we’ve been here in the Philippines for more than 60 years, and we’ve been working tirelessly to help prevent, treat and ultimately empower every Filipino.

We saw the opportunity to introduce an innovative solution to address the root causes of the Philippines’ high maternal mortality rate.

Today I’m delighted to unveil our “Philips MOM for Moms” campaign.  This campaign aims to raise awareness about the problems of maternal mortality in the Philippines and show the potential of mobile technology to address some of the root causes. Ultimately we aim to empower Filipino moms to stay healthy during pregnancy.

With this initiative we aim to empower expectant moms in the Philippines to maintain good health through pregnancy and to support the existing maternal health program of the country through Philips innovation.

With this campaign, Philips supports Filipino moms by providing opportunities for them to be healthier and more confident throughout their pregnancy while increasing access to quality maternal health care for all.
