By checking the label, moms can verify nutritional claims, compare brands, and choose which one offers the best value for money.

During the launch of the #CheckTheLabel Campaign, a lot of information was discussed, and one of the very important things are the ways we should check the label and why it is important to check the label every time we purchase stuff, specially the food that we serve to our children.

  • To make healthy food choices
  • To help limit daily intake of sugar, salt, fat and cholesterol
How To Read Food Labels
First, take a look at the ingredients which are listed in the order of highest to lowest quantity. Watch out for health-sensitive ingredients such as sugar, salt, saturated fat, and sodium. When it comes to these, moderation is always key to better prevent the risk of obesity, diabetes, and other lifestyle-related diseases. 
Second, review the nutrition facts. It is important to go through each one to determine whether or not a particular food product meets the daily nutritional requirements of children, especially during their crucial growing-up years. Knowing the nutritional content can determine if a child is eating a healthy, balanced diet.

@ The Press Launch of Chef Next Door with JONAS NG Season 2

It's a Wednesday event and it's my coding day.  I wonder why I did not had any second thought if I will attend this event or not.

I actually got so excited upon joining the group chat about this invitation. I felt the thrill of attending this one for some reason I do not know. It could be the fact that I love cooking and definitely love eating. Or it can also be the Dine and Jam with Us title, that made me more curious to be a part of this one.

Arriving early in the event place is my usual habit. Whether it's my meeting, speaking, hosting job or bloggers event, I always like to come at least on time.  The warm welcome of the organizers even made my day. And of course, there's the perks of being the first to make it on the scheduled time. I got the chance to kidnap and get a short interview with the man of the day, Jonas Ng, who is so friendly and bubbly. He eagerly gave in to my request for a short video recording, we had it inside the intriguing smoke room of the restaurant. And here it goes...
Before the program started, I was able to meet some new friends like Migz, Donny and Leonard as we waited for more guests to come.  As we all know weekdays are happy days yet traffic days.

Upon entrance, I  fell in love with the venue. The high ceiling, the tables and chairs, the wall decors and everything inside Le Jardin French Restaurant made me fall in love again. I really appreciate this kind of structures. It's so clean and dainty to exactly describe this place. It's actually my first time here too. Best place to bring family and friends to enjoy food and good company. 
 Everything was served at the bar! Unlimited food, as in! Unlimited Baguio Beer was served too! 
First time to try the different flavors of FOG CITY Artisanal Ice Cream. The taste of San Francisco in every scoop. I love the Butterscotch Peacan, but the Calamansi Pili flavor's so interesting, also a winner!

Herbalife Family Foundation Launches Casa Herbalife Program with Tuloy Foundation, Inc. to Improve Nutri tion of Children


MANILA, PHILIPPINES, JUNE 30 2016 – The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF), a non-profit organization committed to helping vulnerable children, recently announced the opening of its second Casa Herbalife Program in the Philippines, together with - Tuloy Foundation, Inc. (the Foundation) – an institution committed to uplifting the lives of poor, abandoned and neglected street children.

Under the Program, HFF will provide an initial financial grant of 20,000USD to the Foundation. The funds will improve access to good nutrition for the children at the Foundation through the renovating of the Foundation’s central kitchen.

Fr. Marciano “Rocky” G. Evangelist, SDB established Tuloy Foundation, Inc. in 1993, to provide a comprehensive rehabilitation program for street children in Manila. It has achieved outstanding success and worldwide recognition for its innovative programs that help poor and abandoned children to regain their self-worth and dignity, giving them a chance for a better life.

In the Philippines, HFF currently supports the S.O.S. Children’s Village in Ayala Alabang Muntinlupa City. Under the program, the Village receives an annual grant that helps provide nutritious food to children living there.
