URATEX : Sharing Moments Together

Family will always be family. No matter how far or whatever we have gone through , we will always remain a family.  And it is this Christmas season when most of us gets more emotional when missing our loved ones.

Because we all know that Filipinos enjoy cherishing the times we share with family, friends, and loved ones especially during the holiday season. For the majority, the best memories are created inside the bedroom where family members bond or catch up with each other before they call it a day.

If there is one thing in the bedroom that should always be fresh and clean, it's our family bed. Where we always share most of our "kulitan" moments together as a family. And yes, our only daughter even now at 9 y.o. still loves sleeping on the same bed with us. Good thing, we got our own Uratex foam that we have been using since 2007.  Still in good condition till now.

Watch this special video courtesy of Uratex Philippines produced by Mode Devi Media Group in collaboration with Project Geekid Productions & Wonderlast Film.

Giving salute to the importance of family traditions, Uratex, who is celebrating 50 years this 2018 unveiled a Christmas-themed video to celebrate family memories made inside the bedroom, their common area of solitude, and the bed, a central and key witness to that celebration.

The video starts by showing a young man longing for the love and company of their mother, supposedly an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW). He has not seen her as she has not come home for the past three years working overseas. Not a day passes that the young man misses his mother, where he shared many fun and memorable moments with her while at his bedroom during his childhood. And now that Christmas is near, the longing is felt more than ever.

Meanwhile, the young man’s elder brother also does his best to overcome his yearning for their mother’s presence by focusing all his strength on his job. He silently cares for his brother’s needs and sees to it that his younger brother continues to strive to be the best individual that he can be. But like his younger brother, he misses his mother as well.

Alas, their wish was granted on Christmas Day when, as they try to celebrate Christmas just like in the previous years without their mother, they were pleasantly surprised with her arrival. The joy in the younger brother’s eyes was evident with their mother’s presence in a special time such as Christmas, finally, as one family.

For the elder brother, the arrival of their mother was the perfect time to tell her that he is now ready to take on the responsibility of caring for the family’s needs. With their mother’s long-awaited homecoming, it will be the perfect opportunity to create new memories again together—as one family.

Uratex Philippines, the undisputed leader in the foam manufacturing industry believes that family love and comfort are always at the forefront in the tradition of selfless care and service to the Filipinos. Uratex believes that family love, caring and looking out for the welfare and greater comfort of each other is vital.  Each Uratex bed provides ultimate comfort to promote a healthful and relaxed sleep night after night. This helps invigorate the body so it will remain fit and fully charged to make each family member ready to face life’s daily challenges.

For Uratex founders Robert and Natividad Y. Cheng, the products that they’ve developed over the past five decades have been uncompromising when it comes to celebrating the beauty of love and life. Each mattress that rolls out of the company’s manufacturing facilities is the result of the Chengs’ vision to share comfort with every Filipino. With constant innovation, Uratex products remain synonymous to rest and relaxation, love and comfort.

After their mother’s arrival, what special Yuletide celebration awaits the two sons? What's your story?
Merry Christmas
The Ang Foodie Family
This video made me cry. I can not imagine leaving my daughter alone in the bed. What more leaving her for a distance? She can not actually sleep without me or her Dad beside her. That is why, we see to it that we always sleep together even we have to wait for my hubby to come home at late night.

Let's start Sharing Moments Together with our family!

MANGO TREE brings you the Holiday Selections

Never been a fan of Thai food, but now...a certified ONE! Mango Tree is the Thai restaurant where you can enjoy authentic Thai cuisine. So true, there's always a time for everything under the sun. And a special Holiday Selections are now here to break your diet, not your heart.

Mango Tree just came up with a special Christmas treat, and The Ang Foodie Family, together with our KTG Family was so blessed to have the first taste of what's in store for you.

Five new dishes and desserts! We were able to try them all during our lunch Christmas Party.

The Homok Seafood Curry in Coconut  was Mrs. Ang's personal favorite. Mixed seafood in creamy red curry sauce served in a coconut shell. Oh my, this is so good! Spell DIVINE! The creamy red curry made the seafood a lot more desirable than before. This is Mrs. Ang's number favorite! Best paired with Thai rice! Like "Rice pa more" day!

Meet the beautiful Fried Seabass with Tamarind Sauce. Yes, fried seabass topped with pineapple and cherry tomatoes mixed with tamarind sauce.

Here's the front and back view of the Garden Salad in Som Tum Sauce with Chicken Wings. Mixed vegetables drizzled with "som tum" dressing, a blend of dried shrimp paste, fish sauce, lime and palm sugar for balance of sweet and sour goodness, served with crispy chicken wings on the side for added texture.

The chicken wings captured my tummy. Perfectly fried to perfection! Chicken lovers will surely fall in love with these wings.

Yes, there's always room for desserts even for me, who has a sort of need for sugar management. But what can I do? I can not let go of  this one. Just a tiny bite made me so satisfied. Sweet Potato Custard, blended with coconut cream for a light sweet flavor and soft texture. I'm telling you, it's not that sweet as how it looks like.

This Wang Bean with Fried Onion is a taro custard with coconut cream topped with fried red onions. Something an onion lover can truly appreciate.

Aside from the Holiday Selections menu we were also able to indulge with the other signature dishes that we also enjoyed.

Our young foodie loved the Tod Mun Goong. Deep fried shrimp cakes served with sweet chili sauce. She's kinda picky-eater too. But this one made her get 2 or 3 rounds visit to the buffet table. I also loved this, even without the sauce.

Mr. Ang got his two personal faves. First is the Gai Satay,  chicken satay served with cucumber and peanut dipping sauce. I myself am not a saucy person. I had these without any dip at all. Just a perfect taste for me.

The carnivore Mr. Ang's 2nd favorite is none other than GRILLED HONEY PORK RIBS. These lovely pile of ribs is so good to be true. This can surely ruin your diet too. So tender that it also falls off the bone once you lift a rib or two.

Well, Christmas holidays will be over soon. So better enjoy with family and friends. Each bites with share of laughter is the best dining experience.

And The Ang Foodie Family's Thai Cuisine adventure is another day to remember.

DISCOVER WHY CHEMICAL-BASED PRODUCTS FOR HAIR LOSS MIGHT NOT WORK FOR YOU

Desperate times call for desperate measures. When you’re losing tufts of hair or seeing bald patches on your scalp, it’s but natural to feel the need to do something about it.
Will you tell a friend or go immediately to a doctor? Will you hide the “shame” under the guise of a wig? While it’s quite hard to decide, there’s no way but people still find themselves falling in line over-the-counter (O.T.C.). And what’s on their hands? Chemical-based hair loss products. Here are some of the reasons why they impulsively buy these items:
a.)   They claim to be effective.

b.)   They say the healing effects are felt quickly.

c.)   They are widely available.

d.)   They appear to be cheaper.

e.)   They claim to be safe.
Sounds tempting, though, be wary enough that once you delve into the nitty-gritty of these products available to allegedly promote hair growth, you’ll see why they may not exactly be a perfect fit. These are some of the negative possibilities when you use chemical treatments:

1.    Serious side effects like tightness in the chest, difficulty in breathing, rapid heartbeat (tachycardia), and swelling of the hands and feet. These are actually some of the possible side effects of the hair loss drug Minoxidil, which is said to cease hair loss and promote hair growth.

2.    Most chemical products say they can “treat” alopecia, but reading the fine print will lead you to discover that it actually just slows the progress of hair loss. Little is said as well about these chemical treatments actually promoting hair growth.

3.    These products or “treatments” usually contain a variety of chemicals that may or may not cause allergic reactions. It pays to check the labels. Some chemical-based products may actually be presenting the side effects as the main effects. Let the internet help you on your personal research.

There may be safer and effective alternatives out there, but NOVUHAIR is a stand out among the rest. It has 19 natural ingredients—standardized herbal extracts, essential oils and co-factor nutrients that work in synergy and have been clinically proven to help stop the progression of hair loss, aid in stimulating hair growth, and reduce excessive hair shedding.

NOVUHAIR is available in the Philippines at Mercury Drug and other leading drugstores nationwide, Seafood City supermarkets and other Filipino/Asian stores in the USA and online at www.novuhair.us and at BeeOrganic in Kuwait. International online orders are also possible through regaloservice.com. For more information, you may visit www.novuhair.com or contact hotlines 4136570 and 09228830575.
Don’t make yourself fall as the next victim of the trap. Be smart; choose natural.

PAMI Once Again Ranked Among Top Investment Houses

Philam Asset Management, Inc. (PAMI) continued its successful run of citations by once again being included among The Asset Magazine’s list of top Investment Houses. The Asset Magazine is a prestigious Hong Kong based publication that reviews and compares reports from all fund houses in a given Asian country. Based on a comprehensive methodology that includes quantitative benchmarks, weighted performance, and preference voting from Astute Investor awardees, they are then ranked accordingly.
“We are honored that a prominent regional body such as The Asset continues to hold PAMI in such high regard,” noted Eric Lustre, President and CEO of PAMI. “We have been on quite a winning streak lately, but rather than rest on our laurels, each award we receive motivates us to strive harder,” he added.

Apart from their company recognition, two members of their team were likewise given individual awards for their exceptional market knowledge, acumen in making investment decisions, and overall trading skills. Katherine Castelo, PAMI’s Head of Fixed Income Portfolio Management, and Katherina Dizon, Philam Life’s Deputy Head of Fixed Income Securities Trading Office both secured spots on the Philippines’ Most Astute Investors in Local Currency Bonds list for 2017, ranking 10th and 5th respectively.

“PAMI is truly committed to our objective of providing Filipinos with the kind of financial empowerment that they deserve. This can only be realized if we have the most passionate and talented people working together towards that goal,” Lustre enthused. “We have always believed that our people are our greatest asset, and Rina and J (awardees Castelo and Dizon) embody this,” he further noted.

BYS Glitter Kits shine in Cosmo Social Shopping Party

Cameras flashed and faces, quite literally, shone and shimmered at the recently concluded Cosmopolitan Philippines Social Shopping Party at Early Night in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Over 100 invited guests, composed of pre-selected Cosmo Girls and other social media influencers, attended the exclusive event where they could shop--not with cash nor credit but with social media posts. Depending on what product the shoppers wanted to purchase, they have to post that product, along with its designated hashtag, on their respective social media accounts and they’ll get it, virtually, for free.

One of the most visited booths at the event was that of BYS Philippines. The surge of customers was credited to the BYS Glitter Face and Body Kit, a great way to get started on some rather avant-garde makeup. Apart from the Glitter Kits, BYS also gave away one Holographic Lipstick and one Ultra Glow Holographic palette to each of the influencers who attended the party.

BYS, an Australian brand, has been in the Philippines for the past five years. They have made quality and transformative cosmetics more accessible to Filipinas. Aside from the BYS Glitter Kit, the brand also offers a wide range of products that serve both simple and couture makeup needs.

While BYS is what one may consider as drugstore makeup, its quality is more than a match for higher-end makeup brands. Makeup enthusiasts will now have an easier time finding the perfect cosmetic products without breaking the bank.

“BYS has always been sensitive to the needs of its customers,” said Angie Goyena, General Manager of iFace, Inc, BYS’s exclusive local distributor. “We know that BYS is fit for the discerning Filipina makeup enthusiast or for women in general who wish to beautify and empower themselves,” she concluded.

Explore CHILI'S TOP Fusion Menu

Are you open-minded? Because to me, it's always a good idea to have some blend of this and that when it comes to exploring food. Like combining usually widely differing ethnic or regional ingredients, when you put them together can create an extra-ordinary taste. Some kind of unexpectedly delicious ones.

Take a look at these menu. They all look interesting. And they all taste interesting as well. From the look of how it was all presented, readying your tissues before you drool over these is a must.
CHIPOTLE BALSAMIC STEAK @ Php995
A lovely seared steak resting on a bed of potato rounds, chimichurri sauce and chipotle balsamic glaze. Match with creamy garlic spread and onion string.
Meat lovers can go for this one!

SALMON with AJI AMARILLO SAUCE @Php850
Yes! It's beautifully prepared salmon fillet set on a bed of potato rounds, chimichurri sauce and Aji Amarillo sauce. Drizzled with chipotle fruity sauce garnished with green onions. According to our young foodie, it was good. Of course, she's a salmon lover.

BBQ STEAK with CHIMICHURRI @Php995
Thick as you can see it. It's an 8 oz. sirloin steak resting on a bed of mashed potatoes and chimichurri sauce. Topped with pickled red onions, white cheese, fresh cilantro and BBQ sauce. Yes, it's juicy!

SEARED LAMB with FIG SAUCE @Php1,200
Have a heavenly taste of three succulent lamb chops on a bed of potato rounds with warm chipotle fruity sauce. Each chop dotted with avocado sauce. Now this is Mr. & Mrs. Ang's favorite from this menu. The tender lamb just taste so good, I just have to practice my control, I guess I could finish the 3 chops...My first time to try fig sauce too. Quite an experience.

Noticed a common thing? These menu offers potato beds that provides you carbs.  There's no need to order rice.  The four main dishes goes with roasted cream corn, enough to fill your hungry tummy.

HAND-STUFFED BAKED JALAPENO @Php395

If you are craving for something spicy but not for noodles, these eight pepper wedges stuffed with smoked chicken and covered with a blend of melted cheeses can surely satisfy you. It's drizzled with BBQ sauce and served with pickled red onions, fresh cilantro and ramekin of creamy ranch dressing.

LOADED BONELESS WINGS
Boneless chicken smothered in white queso is just a bonus. This cheezy hot plate was truly satisfying, perfect munch while waiting for the main dishes. There was a little spice that's tolerable, and our young foodie loved it.

Just to give you an idea, Chimichurri or chimmichurri is an uncooked sauce used for grilled meat; it comes in a green version and a red version and originates from Argentina and Uruguay. Got this from Wikipedia.

Don't miss this limited offer. So timely for the Christmas festivities!

All these will be available until January 7, 2018
