Amorsolo
Circle, InLife’s exclusive program for its valued policyholders, spearheaded
the Front Seat Client Forum and Market Outlook entitled “The View Beyond: 2025
Market Outlook and Guiding Insights” at the Grand Hyatt Manila in Bonifacio
Global City Taguig. Amorsolo Circle also conducted the same client forum in
Nustar Hotel Cebu.
Ron
Lantin, InLife’s Fund Manager, explained that 2024 proved to be a challenging
year for the local stock market. He added that 2025 will not be different due
to uncertainties in the US market. “We are five years past the pandemic but
recovery to pre-pandemic level is still the battle cry of the local market.
While we recognize that there are still risk factors, we have to be cognizant
of the opportunities,” Lantin said.
Anis
Tiasiri, Executive Director, Southeast Asia Funds, JP Morgan Asset Management,
said while developed market stocks outperformed in 2024, the well-diversified
income-generating strategy which InLife policyholders invested in delivered
good results in 2024, with a high single-digit total return and a relatively
low maximum drawdown.
Shuangwei
Liao, Associate Director of Intermediary Sales, Southeast Asia, Fidelity
International, for her part, said while the technology sector presents
investment opportunities, selectivity remains important. “Tech stocks have
outperformed broader markets since the rally began in 2023. Overall, the tech
sector is expected to see the strongest earnings growth,” she said.

Feng
Shui Expert Patrick Lim Fernandez of The Yin and Yang Shop of Harmony,
meanwhile, said the Year of the Wood Snake generally highlights networking or
collaboration and adaptability. “Your luck is the sum of two things: your
energy and effort. This is a good year to be patient. Think of how things will
happen at the right time, and adapt to that,” he said.
