Global Japanese apparel retailer UNIQLO marks its 40th anniversary this year with the latest transformation of its LifeWear favorites, which has always evolved to bring about lighter fits, increased comfort, and greater functionality through new materials. For its 2024 Fall/Winter LifeWear collection, UNIQLO centers on the theme “Timeless Tones,” blending classic styles with modern designs, creating items destined to be favorites for years to come.
The theme takes inspiration from places known for their unique character and where new discoveries are always around the corner. First is the Scottish capital of Edinburgh where the locals pride themselves on mixing different patterns and materials, followed by the Swedish capital of Stockholm, celebrated for its modern tonal styles.
“We are excited to showcase to all of you our newest season collection today. Featuring the theme of “Timeless Tones”, we aim to bring a fresh approach to our LifeWear and showcase timeless classics. True to our LifeWear philosophy of designing clothing to make life better, these new pieces showcase our innovation to evolve classic items in terms of fit, comfort and functionality,” says UNIQLO Philippines' Chief Operating Officer Geraldine Sia.
With lighter and more comfortable fits, it is easier to adapt and move with style. The collection allows everyone to create a modern, versatile look by layering colors and combining textures. What’s more, by embodying the personas of Edinburgh and Stockholm, as well as the lifestyle of its people, UNIQLO promotes the spirit of “Timeless Tones” through three sub-categories:
Neo-Tradition: Classic LifeWear is given a new look with new silhouettes and new styling. Express yourself comfortably with pieces from the Wide Pants Collection, as well as the function bra tops and lightweight 3D Knits.
Neo-Nordic: The collection features styling and items that go seamlessly between indoor and outdoor activities. Introducing the newest technology PUFFETCH, enabling warmth through lighter material that is comfortable and compact. Move without being limited by the cold with the range of HEATTECH categories, from the base HEATTECH to the Extra Warm and Ultra Warm varieties.
Sport Utility Wear: Offering functionality and versatility that allows you to stretch your limits, the UNIQLO Sport Utility Wear presents a new level of comfort whether you’re on the go or on the couch. Stay dry and warm at all times with the DRY-EX Crew Neck Short Sleeve T-Shirt, or move easily with the W’s Ultra Stretch AIRism shorts for peak comfort and style. The UNIQLO Sports Utility Wear also offers Ultra Stretch and UV Protection features.
