Cooked bangus products
The nightmare of meticulously cleaning raw fish is over! The export quality bangus products of Sarangani Bay is a heaven sent answer for my fish cravings. I can now cook my bangus in so many ways as I experiment. I'm just like a kitchen scientist!
My favorite kind of fish is milkfish. Actually, the bangus belly part is my daughter's fave too! Bangus is so special to me. Firstly, because of it's appearance. It looks good even uncooked yet...secondly, when it gets cooked already, I know its meat are white. I don't like fishes with dark meat.
Now, I got the best way to enjoy fresh frozen fish, and that is to select brands sold by established seafood processors with a reputation for consistently excellent quality. No need to brave the smell of the wet market just to give in to my fishy wishes...
By the way, do you know that commercially packaged frozen fish can taste as good as fresh caught harvests because they are carefully “fresh frozen” within a very short time after being caught, locking in freshness and flavor?
Others said that It’s not true that “fresh” fish is always better than frozen fish. Seafood should be frozen as soon as possible after being caught but cost and logistics make this difficult for many fishermen. Often fresh fish is NOT fresh as it may have sat on insufficient ice for days before reaching the market. Try Sarangani Bay!

Here's how I cooked the boneless smoked bangus!
Boneless Milkfish Smoked
Nothing wasted with this bangus! You can even eat the skin because of its crunchiness! No doubt, it's so fresh and tasty. This was the first batch that I cooked because the same day it arrived, I was actually craving for fried fish.
My second menu is something that I always cook whenever a member of the family is sick or down with cough and colds. The star ingredient here aside from the fresh boneless milkfish bellly is the amazing ginger. The health benefit of ginger is awesome!
