I am a frustrated photographer, if there’s any chance of capturing moments or object, I really grab such opportunities.  Today, I did my job as personal photographer to my younger sister, Thea.  Originally, she has a schedule to have a photo shoot with a so called Professional Photographer.  Unfortunately he did not act as one. It was already 4 o’clock as they agreed upon, no photographer arrived.  No text message or Facebook private message was sent to my sister. I wonder where professionalism went…

Now, as a loving and supportive big sister, I did my part to encourage my baby sister and continue with the original plan of having her photo shoot session.  I grabbed the car key, my ever reliable Flash 2 Alcatel Mobile Phone and my Canon Camera. We went to Circuit Makati, which is a new favorite place for hanging out with family or friends.  In short, we’re able to stick to the plan!

Sometimes, people are not sensitive enough to make a commitment even for a short term agreement.  I don’t know why a simple act of courtesy seemed so hard for some to give to those who deserve it.

Well, life must go on and we have to move on.  And a photo shoot happened for a reason….

Great Kids Ph:A Haven for My Princess!

If you know my daughter, my little Fashionista, she’s into bags, shoes and dresses since she was a toddler.  Of course, she enjoys all these kind of stuff, especially the gifts from family and friends.  I guess it runs in the blood.  As what people say, “ Like Mother, like Daughter.  She’s not into jeans and finds it irritating wearing one. And dresses and skirts makes her feel more comfortable whenever we go out.

To doll up my daughter has been one of my favorite things… I’m so happy that she enjoys it as well.  And even playing at the mall fitting room can be our playground.  We also love wearing the same designs of clothes, if not exactly the same, we see to it that we have the same shade or color. Shall we call it “Terno, Terno” matching clothes or twinning?  We want to look alike at least with our clothes.  Why? It is because my daughter got most of her Dad’s facial features. 

Just this Sunday, we found an interesting shop located at the ground floor of Mall of Asia just in front of Kids Universe, The Pois Belly & Kids (Great Kids PH), a boutique with girls, teens and maternity line of fashion.  It’s a lovely place, the shop itself looks so dainty. You’ll see bright and colorful designs that looks adorable and classy. The clothes materials are of good quality, soft and comfy. Kids will definitely find it comfortable to wear the stuff here. 

Come in and take a look at my Princess, trying almost everything from this magical room full of beautiful dresses with fresh looks and designs! 

Kids, they grow up really fast, some of the clothes that she tried were small or medium size for Mommy. Sometimes, our kids even grow taller than us. So blessed, I am able to watch my daughter bloom in God's faithfulness and goodness.

I actually fell in love with the Mommy & Me corner, where you can find sets of twinning dresses for moms and daughters, available for toddler size too.  Can’t help it, me and my daughter tried most of the displayed items. Love the laces and embroidery designs too.  The good news, some size Large was able to fit me. Hurray for today!

Oh, been struggling and having heavy heart every time I gas up the past few days. I use diesel, and the fact that it is somehow cheaper than gas, I still am affected with the price hike every now and then. Just now, I saw 3 gasoline station receipts from my bag while cleaning up. As I compare the 3 oil companies, I saw the difference,..how more affordable is this one that I had just this afternoon. I took a closer look at the receipts. Two receipts from the same day pump and a day after, which is today.

My NEW Favorite!

As a lady driver, one of the simple joys I will confess now is...at least having and seeing my fuel gauge in the middle, if I can't afford to get full tank. I hate driving with fear that I might run out of diesel any time. And so driving with at least half the tank comforts me.

Top 7 Reasons Why My Daughter Loves Homeschooling

While having meal with my daughter, I thought of asking her why she loves homeschooling.  I have read many articles of moms giving their reasons why homeschooling is good of which most of us homeschooling moms agree.  Let’s hear it straight from a child’s point of view.

Just to give you a background, my daughter was able to experience traditional schooling.  Unfortunately, she had some bad experiences.  One of which is her always getting sick every now and then.  She gets cough and colds at least 3 times in a month during school days.  My daughter was also diagnosed with Asthma, also one of the main reasons why we choose to homeschool her.

1.       No one to disturb or destruct me while working.

2.       I won’t have a bad teacher.

3.       I don’t need to wake up early and go out every day.

4.       I don’t get bullied.

5.       My teacher cooks for me and gives me healthy food and snacks

6.       Because my mom is my teacher and she is better than all the other teachers

7.       I don’t want to leave my mom every day and I want to spend more time with my mom

My favorite among her answers was in #7.  I believe that our children will grow fast real soon and would definitely have their own interest in life.  For me, spending more time with her and showering her with love, respect and Godly principles in life will soon make an impact in her being. 

I have heard a lot of stories, the kids who are now adults thanked their parents for homeschooling them before college. They now excel and face the world with confidence.

 

 

Homeschooling may not be for everyone, but it is the best for us.
