AIA Philippines has launched FutureProofing with AIA, its flagship podcast, debuting with a four-episode investment-focused series, marking the Philippine insurance industry’s first podcast dedicated to investing. The podcast is now streaming on Spotify and YouTube.
FutureProofing with AIA brings AIA Philippines’ experts into conversations about questions that investors may face at different stages of their financial journey, from whether to start, top up, or stay invested in a variable unit-linked (VUL) insurance plan, which combines life insurance protection with investment opportunities, to exploring opportunities beyond Philippine markets and balancing investment growth with financial protection.
Designed for both current and aspiring investors, FutureProofing with AIA simplifies investment concepts and provides practical guidance on investing wisely, empowering Filipinos to make informed financial decisions as they build, grow, and strengthen their investment portfolios.
“Through FutureProofing with AIA, we want to make investment conversations more approachable and relevant, giving people the confidence to take action and make informed decisions. By combining expert insights with practical guidance, we're helping Filipinos future-proof their finances, grow their wealth with greater confidence, and protect what matters most at every stage of their journey,” shared Katherine Wong, Interim Chief Marketing Officer, AIA Philippines.
Answering questions investors are asking
The four-episode pilot features Ramon Domingo, Investments Consultant at AIA Philippines, and Mika Uichanco, Investments Principal at AIA Philippines, who bring their expertise to the conversations. They aim to address key questions around starting, growing, and protecting investments, while exploring opportunities across local and global markets. By helping Filipinos better understand investment options and strategies, the podcast empowers them to make more informed decisions as they build long-term financial security and wealth.
In one episode, titled “How to Grow Your Investments Wisely and Secure Your Finances,” AIA explores topics around expanding your investment portfolio while protecting your finances. The episode features Ramon Domingo and Mika Uichanco breaking down the considerations that investors may want to understand when making these decisions.
“When it comes to investing, many people find it challenging because of the wide range of options available. I would think people have heard about stocks and bonds. But the question is, which of those is the right choice for them, and how can they get started?” said Ramon Domingo, Investments Consultant, AIA Philippines.
“If we only invest in the Philippines, we might lose out on growth stories abroad. By investing globally, you will be able to mitigate that. While it does not guarantee gains, it may help lessen potential losses through broader market exposure,” added Mika Uichanco, Investments Principal, AIA Philippines.
Other episodes broaden the conversation to other aspects of investing, including potential opportunities of investing across global markets, how investors can think about growth, income, and protection together, and how to navigate investment opportunities while protecting their finances. The series also features AIA’s Global Adventurous Income Fund and Peso/Dollar Advantage Max.
Making future-proofing conversations more accessible
Beyond investments, AIA’s future episodes will tackle financial literacy, insurance, financial planning, and other practical ways to strengthen financial security and enhance health and life protection for Filipinos.
AIA Philippines will also extend FutureProofing with AIA across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts, bringing key insights and takeaways from each conversation to audiences in shorter, easy-to-digest formats. These shorter-form pieces will highlight practical investing perspectives from the podcast and give audiences additional ways to engage with the topics discussed in each episode.
The series will also be featured across AIA Philippines’ digital platforms, where audiences can access the podcast episodes and related content.
FutureProofing with AIA is now available on Spotify and YouTube.
